Job Description

As part of the development of models for ATF fuel for implementation in the European Incident Code ASTEC, you will be responsible for implementing model improvement in the source code. Furthermore, you will verify the implemented models for ATF fuel rods including experimental data from KIT and other facilities and investigate the behavior of SMR cores loaded with ATF fuel rods as well as with the severe accident code ASTEC. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the documentation as well as publication and presentation of the results.

Personal Qualification

You have a university degree in mechanical or nuclear engineering (Diplom (Uni)/Master) as well as many years of professional experience in numerical simulations of Small Modular Reactors (SMR) in the fields of neutronics and thermohydraulics. Furthermore, we expect excellent knowledge in programming C, Python, FORTRAN and experience in numerical simulations with CFD, thermohydraulics and neutron physics codes.
