Joint Summer School on Nuclear Science and Technology

The Joint Summer School on Nuclear Science and Technology is an international workshop organized by universities from China (SJTU), South Korea (KAIST), Taiwan (NTHU) and since 2019 also Japan (KU). The universities take turn in hosting the event and as the latest member Kyushu University was the host of this year’s summer school. The idea of the summer school is that young academics from these 4 universities come together for education in the field of nuclear energy and establish international connection with other young scientists.

Students and Ph.D. students from KIT participated as guests in this year’s summer school. On the schedule were lectures from leading experts and group works and discussions about small modular reactors. The groups were a mixture of all participating universities
