Mentor program

Basics

For several years there is in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering a mentoring program for students up to fourth Semester. With the launch of the new bachelor degree program in the 2008/2009 winter semester, this service was extended to the entire duration of the study program.

The purpose of the program is to build and to maintain the contact between students and professors even in courses with many students. Every student who would like to get one, a professor will be assigned as a mentor. The professor will then organize a joint meeting once a semester of assigned students. In a small group can then be debated all aspects of the study. In addition, the professor is his "mentor" for individual interviews as a concrete point of contact. The sponsorship will end for students in the diploma after the fourth semester and for the students in the new bachelor degree program at the end of the course.

How do I get to my mentor?

One needs to first register at the mechanical engineering faculty. The user may then login here and eventually make reservation for the mentor program. You may also make reservations of your mentor depending on the field of study that you are interested in. These wishes are taken into consideration where possible but the allocation may be done on a first-come-first-serve basis if there is some overbooking.
